Information we collect
You may give us your name, business or restaurant name, email address, phone number, site location or address, service requirements, preferred appointment details and messages when you use our forms or contact us by email, telephone or WhatsApp. We may also receive relevant site photographs and service correspondence that you choose to send. Please do not include sensitive personal information in a general enquiry.
Our website and service providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, pages visited and interactions with website features. If you leave a public comment, the comment information and technical details used for moderation may also be processed.
Why we use information and our lawful bases
We use enquiry information to reply, assess requirements, arrange site or video assessments and prepare quotations. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, or to perform that contract, this processing is necessary for those steps or the contract. For enquiries made on behalf of a business, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to business requests and managing client relationships.
We also rely on legitimate interests to coordinate service delivery, maintain appropriate correspondence, protect our website and manage complaints or disputes. We use information where necessary to meet legal obligations, including applicable accounting and tax requirements. Where consent is required for a particular optional use, we will ask for it separately; you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We do not make decisions about website enquirers solely through automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Marketing
Submitting a service enquiry does not by itself sign you up to a newsletter or promotional messages. Any marketing must have an appropriate lawful basis and meet applicable electronic-marketing rules. You can ask us to stop direct marketing at any time by contacting 2023@dennyame.co.uk or using an unsubscribe option provided with the message. Service correspondence about your request is separate from marketing.
Who receives information
Information is available to the people who need it to handle your request or provide the agreed service. We use Hostinger for website hosting and business email, WordPress and Elementor to operate website forms, and connected Google services for email delivery and website measurement. Information may be held in our business mailbox, website submissions and related business records. Relevant details may be shared with staff, service providers or professional advisers where needed for service delivery, support, accounting or a legal matter. We may disclose information where required by law.
Some technology providers operate internationally and may process information outside the UK. Transfer arrangements depend on the provider and service used. Contact us for details about the providers handling your information and the applicable transfer arrangements or safeguards. Provider privacy information is available from Hostinger and Google.
How long we keep information
For enquiries that do not become customers, our retention policy is to keep the enquiry information for 12 months after the last substantive contact, then delete it securely. We review enquiries against this period. If information is needed for an active complaint, dispute or legal obligation, we may retain the relevant records for longer for that purpose.
If you become a customer, relevant information becomes part of the customer or service record. We retain those records for the service relationship and afterwards according to the need to administer the work, meet accounting or tax obligations, and establish or respond to legal claims. These are separate from the 12-month unsuccessful-enquiry rule. Backup copies may remain until they are replaced through the backup cycle; deletion requests also inform how restored data is handled.
Cookies, analytics and external services
The website uses cookies and similar technologies for website functions and integrates Google Analytics and Google advertising tags for measurement. Cookies or identifiers may record visits, device information and interactions. Other pages include Google Maps or videos; using embedded services or following social-media and WhatsApp links may allow the relevant provider to receive technical information about your visit. Their own privacy information also applies.
You can review, block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although blocking necessary cookies may affect website functions. Google explains its use of information from partner sites at Google partner-site information. Browser settings do not replace any consent that is required for optional tracking. Contact us if you would like information about a particular website technology.
Your rights and how to raise a concern
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can object to direct marketing at any time. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable data protection law.
Send a request or concern to 2023@dennyame.co.uk. We may need reasonable information to verify your identity before disclosing personal data. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Changes and other notices
We may update this notice when our website or information handling changes. The date above identifies the latest version. Recruitment and employment information may require additional privacy information supplied as part of that process; this website notice does not replace it.
